• Re: CuteChat3 Beta

What's the hold up? Did she say? I don't want to purchase version 2 when a new version is coming out...but my trial will expire soon. If I could be guarantied a free upgrade, that wouldn't be so bad though.

  • Re: .lic problems after installing test version...

I think you need to place the two .lic files in the /bin folder. I didn't know where to put them either until I read the help file in the documents folder.

  • CuteChat 3?

If I end up buying the current version, would I have to buy version 3 when it comes out, or would the upgrade be free? When will v3 be out? Saw a post that said it would be out already...will it be a few weeks or how long? Also, how many files will change, as I'll need to customize some of the database tables to make ...

  • Re: firefox problems

Adam, I'm not really sure why it's doing this, but it seems like I was able to help the problem a little by making the overflow property of #chat_layout_message style ''scroll'' instead of ''auto'' (in the /CuteChat/CH_style.css file). Now it doesn't seem expand the page out of view until someone ...

  • Re: firefox problems

I've been playing around with this some more, and it seems like the main conversation box just isn't staying at a fixed size after it starts filling up.

  • Re: firefox problems

I noticed that the window expands down past the screen (viewing area) with firefox and the chat messages fill up too. When it's time for the scroller to pop in is when seems to act up. Also, the font color pallet doesn't work for Firefox...neither does the smilies. When will these patches be available??

  • disallow pm's?

Is there an option for ignoring, or disallowing private messages in the standalone chat? I think it's a cool option, but some of my users may not want people PMing them.

  • Re: Logging in with cookies?

Ok, on another forum, someone mentioned that there would need to be a separate component written that goes along with the chat, to make it work with my .asp based forum. Has anyone done this?

  • Logging in with cookies?

I'm not a programmer, so this may be a stupid question, but is it possible to change the chat room to read the log-in cookie from a regular .asp forum, and log the user into the chat based on that cookie? It would sort of like be logging in as a guest...but I don't want to allow guest logins manually. I basically just don't want my ...

  • Re: Which do I download?

Here's an update for everyone. I finally got the chat program to work. One thing I didn't notice, and wasn't told to check out, was the help file. I recommend anyone having problems to read the help file instructions AND the .html page instructions provided in the documents folder (because they aren't the same). I also ...
