  • The ongoing FireFox media playback issues

OK, I'm back. This problem has not been resolved (it has enjoyed two other unresolved threads here). I'm just now gearing up for a ''podcasting'' assault (we don't support RSS, hence the quotes), so I need this to get bumped up again. I'm using CuteEditor 5.3. I'm entering MP3's and WMA's as sound files using CuteEditor's media upload and ...

  • Autoplayback hiccups

This is an oddity. Autoplayback for media files works at first upload, and it won't turn off! If I leave the auto-playback check box checked, as soon as I save the result, both iterations of the media files merrily play away, one on top of the other. The only way to turn them off is to leave the page. Is it possible to turn off the auto-playback ...

  • Re: Media Playback in Gecko-based browsers

Sorry, I've been out of the coding loop with teacher support and classroom responsibilities for the last week...have only had the last hour to climb back into it.Again, this isn't flash...it's WMV. As mentioned elsewhere, CuteEditor through FireFox thinks it's flash when uploaded or inserted, but CuteEditor though IE knows it's a video....though ...

  • Re: Text.length inaccurate

I removed the VB length check since I thought I'd just use MaxHTMLLength to check, so there actually isn't any VB code to look at. I'll give you everything I think might be relevant - tell me if there's anything else you want to see. As you can see from my SQL statement, there is more going on in the page than just saving the CuteEditor ...

Yes, I see the flash on the ''general'' page. The other (the default demo) I don't see a flash, but I can browse to and insert a video from your collection of stock ones, and it plays. A glance at the source code for the page shows the default reference, /uploads/kick_baby_2.mpeg My page with the editor instance is in a different subdirectory ...

  • Re: Text.length inaccurate

Thanks...sorry, thought it was a physical limit within the box (like a textbox limit), missed the error message.Where is that error message? I'd like to customize it just a bit. Also, how about the other question above?

I'm also not sure what MaxHTMLLength does...I set the limit in code, but still have not managed to trigger it...

  • Text.length inaccurate

Greetings:Before saving the text contents of a Cute Editor instance to database, I put a test for length in the dot-net vb code....[CuteEditorID].Text.Length...What I'm finding is that this returns a value wildly larger than the length of the text assigned to the database field, or the contents of the editor HTML window. As an example, with the ...
