Ive been reading around the post and i cant find a recent post on the status with using the ajax uploader using the flash upload type and windows 2003 with basic authentication. Flash is not supported unless anonymous access is enabled, which I cant have on my site.

From what Ive read here : http://cutesoft.net/forums/thread/50563.aspx, there is a work around using another web site  and a cross domain reference in the web.config. The problem is that at the end, adam says there is another way of doing, but there isnt any explanation. Is it suppose to work out of the box now or the work around has changed? 

 

The goal is to have the ajax uploader working on a win 2003 machine with windows basic authentication  without being prompt for credentials after every upload. Any work around will do, if using another web site with anonymous access enabled is fine, i just need confirmation it works..

Please download the last version.

 

We have added a new property : <CuteWebUI:Uploader FlashLoadMode="True" ....>

 

This mode have disadvantages :

 

1 - Do not support Flash8,9 (will disable FlashLoadMode if use 8/9)

2 - client side need big memory for large files.

3 - Browser will stop response while until finish loading a large file into memory
