Changing size of relative positioned Layer

Hi,

following problem:

Layers with the attribute position: relative cannot be moved or changed in size in the normal view, only by changing the html-code.
Since definging size or position of relativly positioned layers is no violation against w3c-standards, i do not understand this behaviour.

Please open CuteSoft_Client\CuteEditor\Scripts\Constant.js

And modify the following code:

editorconstant.layerdefaultstyle = "position:absolute;width:104px; height: 104px";

Adam,

this is excactly what i did.

I changed the code to: "position:relative; width:104px; height: 104px";
But this is irrelevant.

The problem occurs if i change the code in the editor itself and in the constant.js file.

Generally, if a layer does not have the "position:absolute" setting, you cannot change the size and position in the "normal" view.

Jucom.

If set the layer position to "'relative" instead of "absolute", you can modify the position to "absolute" by using the "position absolutely" button.

You can change the size of this layer using the following methods:

1. Using context menu, change the size in the properties dialog

2. Double click and change the size in the properties dialog

3. Change the size in the HTML code view

4. Drag the layer and change its size

If you want o move this layer to another postion, since you set this position to "'relative" instead of "absolute", you can not move it over the original top, left of this layer. It should be ok for the rest area.

Well, in a way you are right.

I've just found out the difference between your solution and my editor: The Browser.

In Internet Explorer, the resizing and positioning with relative positioning works fine, but not in firefox (2.0.0.5). So, i guess there is a bug, or at least a compatibility problem.
