Actually this issue was caused by one of our developers using a Response.Write statement in the global.asax. Once that was commented out, the editor started working again.   Thanks for your quick reply though Adam!

Unfortunately, this does not answer my question ( or at least I don't see how ). The problem is, when people hit the back button to change something they edited, the control is blank. I don't want to disable the back button - my users won't like that. I want to make CuteEditor retain its settings.   How do I do this?

No it don't work for me! I tried your suggested changes, but with no success.   Again, it's not a question of a stylesheet file etc., but it's a compiler error! I solved the problem, but i dont know how :-)   The problem was my masterpage. If i created a new masterpage, copied all my code to the new mastermage, deletede the old masterpage and renamed the new one to the old name, then everything was working.
