Re: User feedback: real suitability for live help
Sadly, now decided to buy an alternative product for my site network.
If we are to use a product commercially, one of the key factors that flag problems ahead is pre-purchase support. In testing the evaluation version, we came across quite a few issues.
Given the lack of feedback here, I instructed my Techincal Manager not to bother ...

Re: cuteeditor.lic license file
Yes.
Hare are the two other options:
1. Add an
an entry to your Web.config file.
Example:
<add key=''CuteEditorLicense'' value=''/somefolder/CuteEditor.lic'' /> 2. Copy CuteEditor.lic to the ''licenses'' directory for the web application that uses the CuteEditor.

When Spellcheck.aspx is dynamically compiled the first time, it will look for the SpellChecker dll in the bin directory directly beneath ...

Install Question
I've downloaded the Cute Editor for ASP (not .Net) - I created a virtual directory under my website CuteEditor_Files with read permissions. The application name is CuteEditor_Files.
I'm getting a 500.100 error when I try to access the simple or default.asp - any ideas?
Thanks. Rick

accents
When I assign a value in code: editor1.Text=''étude après''
the accented characters get converted to escape sequences. This happens
no matter how much I play with cultures and encoding types.
I just cannot seem to use this thing for anything but English?
It works in this forum so I know it can be done.Any ...
