Can one share their customer experience going from CuteSoft Editor to RTE?

We currently use Cute Softe editor for .Net.

have been tesing and evaluating the Rich Text Editor program Want to use it.

Problem is the last time we slid ina  new editor into our environment, the users were very unhappy because the new editor did not recognize the HTML from the previous editor and existing documents did not display well.

has any one made the change from CuteSoft Editor to RTE and how has the old content been affected? Is there a need for a process to convert old documents into the html format that RTE outputs? or Does RTE have some facility to upgrade the resulting HTML from a previously stored document?

Any one have any experience with this type of upgrade, and what happens to older documents?

    Hi Capitolimpact,

The both editor can handle the same html content, and the Rich TextEditor will shows the same format as the CuteEditor. What you need to do just ensure that they has set the same settings.

    Just some examples.

Like property "EditCompleteDocument", if you have set this in CuteEditor, but did not set it for the new RichTextEditor. Then the RichTextEditor may remove the <html> and <body> target. Because both of them does not support the full document by default.

And property "URLType", if you use "absolute" in CuteEditor, but did not set the same in RichTextEditor, the RichTextEditor may may the  relative paht.

If you uisng some special settings for the CuteEditor and do not know what is the new name in RichTextEditor, please list them here, I will show it to you one by one.

    Regards,

It's a much slicker product. Looks and feels more professional (not that CuteEditor isnt).

There are differences but for us it was an easy and logic transition.
