Could not load file or assembly 'DotnetGallery' or one of its dependencies.

Hello,

I have dowloaded the trial version of DotNetGallery. I am using Visual Studio 2008 (,net 3.5) and have copied the DotNetGallery.dll and lic file to website root bin folder.

I have the following within web.config httpmodules section:

I have the following tag at the top of the aspx page

<%@ Register TagPrefix="DotNetGallery" Namespace="DotNetGallery" Assembly="DotNetGallery" %>

And used the following in the page:

<dotnetgallery:gallerybrowser id="dotnetgallery1" GalleryFolder="myGallery" runat="server"></dotnetgallery:gallerybrowser>

When I compile the website I get the following erro:

Could not load file or assembly 'DotnetGallery' or one of its dependencies. The module was expected to contain an assembly manifest.

Please help.

Please rename the application / Clean & rebuild the solution then try again.

I have tried to clean and rebuild the solution but no avail.

It happens even with a new blank website I created after your reply.

I think it is probably because the DotNetGallery.dll was built either with older version of Visual Studio or with some build settings that is not compatible with Visual Studio 2008 version with .Net 3.5.

Do you have an older version of the dll that I can download?

It's built with Visual studio 2003. It should work with asp.net 1.1, 2.0 and 3.5.
