Hi,

 

I've noticed that when adding an image map (hotspots) to an image within Cute Editor, the image gets shifted to the top of the page immediately when the image map is inserted (after the hotspots are defined/linked and 'insert' clicked, but before the form containing the Cute Editor window is submitted).

 

I haven't been able to find any other posts relating to this -- is this a known issue/is there a quick fix? I haven't modified any of the Cute Editor code beyond adding our own session names / styles. Running version 6.0 on IP licence.

Do you means the shift happens in image map dialog?

 

If so, I can confirm this issue and fix it as soon as possible.

The shift happens once 'insert' is clicked within the 'add image map' dialog (after any hotspots have been added/linked) -- so the 'add image map' dialog closes, the user is returned to the main Cute Editor view, and at that moment the image is shifted up to the top of the page next to its corresponding <map> code.

Still awaiting a confirmation/response from you on this. It's been over a month since you acknowledged this issue, and having purchased multiple licences for Cute Editor in good faith I am disappointed not to have received at least an update from you during this time.

The same problem occurs in your online demo.

 

1. Place cursor at bottom of document

2. Click 'insert image' button, select an image and click 'Insert'; this returns you to the main Cute Editor view, with the image correctly placed below the other content

3. Click on the image to select it, then click the 'add image map' button

4. Specify hot spots and links for those hot spots

5. Click 'Insert' to return to the main Cute Editor view, at which point the image is shifted to the top of the content. Looking in the HTML view shows that the <map> and the <img> tag are both now placed at the top of the content

 

As Adam has already acknowledged this problem some time ago, really I am just looking for a rough timescale for when it might be fixed, so that we can keep our clients informed.
