The same problem occurs in your online demo.
1. Place cursor at bottom of document
2. Click 'insert image' button, select an image and click 'Insert'; this returns you to the main Cute Editor view, with the image correctly placed below the other content
3. Click on the image to select it, then click the 'add image map' button
4. Specify hot spots and links for those hot spots
5. Click 'Insert' to return to the main Cute Editor view, at which point the image is shifted to the top of the content. Looking in the HTML view shows that the <map> and the <img> tag are both now placed at the top of the content
As Adam has already acknowledged this problem some time ago, really I am just looking for a rough timescale for when it might be fixed, so that we can keep our clients informed.
