I know files in the temp directory for a control are deleted when that control loads if the files have been around for longer than 5 hours.

but does the control delete any file that is older than 5 hours or does it only delete ".resx" files?

If I happen to choose a folder with many other files in it as my temp directory then will all my old files be deleted along with temp files?

what is the logic behind the deleting of files in the temp folder?

It doesn't delete all ".resx" files. It only deletes the temp files of Ajax Uploader.

how does ajax uploader know which ".resx" files are of Ajax Uploader?

does it matter which control is called?

for example I have probably 7 different instances of an uploader control all over my site.

will only the control that corresponds to a files upload delete that file?

or will any control delete old files in the temp folder when it loads?

Hi,

The default implementation will delete *.resx in the temp folder.

every control in the page will do the same thing , in a fixed interval.
