    Error while upgrading 6.0 to 6.3

    Hi,

    I have recently upgraded my cute editor from 6.0 to 6.3 but the cute editor gives me problem that its post_backhandler is not defined.
    The error message is as below:

    Error: element 'ctl00$contentplaceholder1$tbFolder$TabPreviewTest$Editor1$PostbackHandler' not found

    And then i get few object expected errors.
    What could be the problem.???????
    I have replaced the dll's and also the client files. But its not working.

    Thanks and Regards

    Re: Error while upgrading 6.0 to 6.3

    Hi Adam,
    Thanks for ur constant replies.
    Finally I have upgraded my cute editor to 6.2 version, as i needed the word count feature.
    Its working now but still I am facing some problems realtive to pasteHTMl code and other js errors.

    For example:
    Oxa.pasteHTML(Ox134) ;
    editdoc.getElementById(OxO440f[0x28e]).removeNode(
    true) ;
    Ox779() ; Ox8a1() ;
    And after this the text being added in cute editro is added on the page page. That looks like my page has been distorted. any solution??????Or patch to fix it.

    I get error in this function while pasing the code in absolute div.
    "Microsoft JScript runtime error: 'editdoc.getElementById(...)' is null or not an object" This is the error.

    And also sometimes I get the error in

    function Window_DeleteSelectedControls(Ox1ae)

    {if(Ox1ae[OxO440f[0x5]][OxO440f[0x4]][OxO440f[0x6]]==OxO440f[0x8])

    {var

    Ox2f=Ox1ae[OxO440f[0x5]][OxO440f[0x4]].createRange();

    for(var i=0x0;i<Ox2f[OxO440f[0x9]];i++)

    { Ox2f.item(i).removeNode(true) ;} ;} ;} ;

    Object required error on the above case.

    Reply as  soon as posiible as I have hve to delivery code to my client.

    Thnaks and Regards

    Re: Error while upgrading 6.0 to 6.3

    Please check this article:

    PasteHTML()

    This method is used for pasting the specified HTML into a range within an editor document. If anything is selected, the selection is replaced with the new HTML and text.

    Example:

    // get the cute editor instance
    var editor1 = document.getElementById('<% = Editor1.ClientID%>');

    // pasting the specified HTML into a range within a editor document
    editor1.PasteHTML("Hello World");

    Re: Error while upgrading 6.0 to 6.3

    Hi Adam,

    I am using 6.2 version of cutesoft client.
    Yes in normal situation it works ok, but the error arises when I have a div or p is there and is selected as shown in the following figure:

    I tried the code suggested by you also, but i have the same error and The text is not been patsed in cute editor.

    You can replicate the bug by using the following HTML that adds the paragraph and, add a custom button that adds the text in cute editor with the following comand:

    editor1.ExecCommand("PasteHTML", false, "[Text" + tagValue + "]");

    I am getting this error when i paste html in the following html Code:

    "
    <HTML xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
        <HEAD>
            <TITLE>Automated Marketing</TITLE>
            <META http-equiv=Content-Type content="text/html; charset=utf-8">
        </HEAD>
        <BODY style="MARGIN: 5px 0px" width="800px" height="800px">
            <TABLE>
                <TBODY>
                    <TR>
                        <TD style="PADDING-RIGHT: 10px; PADDING-LEFT: 10px; PADDING-BOTTOM: 10px; PADDING-TOP: 10px" vAlign=top align=center colSpan=2>
                        <P style="BORDER-RIGHT: #333333 1px solid; PADDING-RIGHT: 5px; BORDER-TOP: #333333 1px solid; PADDING-LEFT: 5px; FONT-SIZE: 11px; PADDING-BOTTOM: 5px; BORDER-LEFT: #333333 1px solid; WIDTH: 500px; COLOR: #333333; PADDING-TOP: 5px; BORDER-BOTTOM: #333333 1px solid; FONT-FAMILY: arial; TEXT-ALIGN: left">At vero eos et accusamus et iusto odio dignissimos ducimus qui blanditiis praesentium voluptatum deleniti atque corrupti quos dolores et quas molestias excepturi sint occaecati cupiditate non provident, similique sunt in culpa qui officia deserunt mollitia animi,<BR>
                        <BR>
                        quas molestias excepturi sint occaecati cupiditate non provident, similique sunt in culpa qui officia deserunt mollitia animi</P>
                        <P style="FONT-SIZE: 14px; COLOR: #999; FONT-FAMILY: arial">IMG Group Updated on 12March,09 12:50<BR>

                        </TD>
                    </TR>
                </TBODY>
            </TABLE>
        </BODY>
    </HTML>
    "

    In this i have paragraph and when i add text in that i get the above error.I am stuck in these errors. That come around when i add the html in it.

    Thanks and Regards

    I tried changing the version in the .licx file

    But that didnt solve my problem.

    I have updated client files and also all the dll's of the cutesoft. But still it is unable to resolve the reference.

    Re: Error while upgrading 6.0 to 6.3

    Hello,

    This error occurs when the postback from page occurs. What could be the problem.???

    After the error's the cute editor works fine. But still throws error somewhere that I wll try to handle at my end.
    I searched around the google the whole day to solve this but could not find any solution.
    This may be beacuse of my aspx page structure. But my page structure is same as before and version 6.0 was working ok.
    Just need to add few new functionalities like word count thats why I am planning to upgrade.

    Help please, if anybody has any idea how to resolve it.

    Thanks
    Yuvika

    Re: Error while upgrading 6.0 to 6.3

    Hi

    I have resolved this by adding 2 hidden fileds that cute editor creates.

    <input type='hidden' name='ctl00$ContentPlaceHolder1$tbFolder$TabPreviewTest$Editor1$ClientState'

    value='' />

    <input type='hidden' name='ctl00$ContentPlaceHolder1$tbFolder$TabPreviewTest$Editor1$PostBackHandler' />

    I guess the issue was because of the load time taken by cute editor.
    But adding these 2 hidden fields, the issue is resolved.

    Thanks and Regards
