Temp Folder not cleaned after upload

My temp folder is not cleaned after my file is uploaded. The uploaded appears to go through the entire process without any errors but I noticed the Temp folder still contains the temp files. I am using the Multiple upload code for Microsoft Ajax using vb.net.

Regular uploaded files will be cleaned every 5 minutes.

Persisted Uploaded Files will be cleaned every 6 hours.
