Using version 6.2 (the latest at the moment)

Setting DocType property work great except when switching to Html Mode and then back to Normal, the doctype disappears.

I cannot reproduce this issue in the following example.

I'm setting DOCTYPE property for the control itself in the aspx markup definition of the controls, ie DOCTYPE="<DOCTYPE ...".

So it initially displays correctly when in the Normal mode but looses the doctype when switched from html to normal.

In your example, the doctype is defined inside the document you are editing itself, so it is a different case. Hope that makes it clear.
