Cute Editor 6.2 - Can't get buttons to work in IE

I just installed Cute Editor 6.2. Buttons such as insert link, insert special characters, insert emoticons don't work in IE. They work in FF. What am I doing wrong?

Is your site online so you can provide an online demo?

Will it work if you just run the examples included in the download package?

I put it online - and it works there. Just can't get it to work locally.
