Production License vs. Developer License

For the IP license Cutesoft states:
"You may also install and use the Software on an unlimited number of developer workstations (but not on a development server) for use in connection with the same single website host name when accessed by the http://localhost/Webapplication."

and the Developer License states:
"A developer license entitles a single developer to install and use the product on one machine."

What's the difference for the developer? IP licenses sound a lot better for both development and production, and cheaper.

I am a single developer working on a laptop and will upload my work to a single webserver, with multiple domain names.

You can use the software on your laptop via http://localhost/ for development purposes.

If all your sites share the same IP address, the IP license will work. If not, you need to choose the developer license. Keep me posted.

I don't seem to see the prices for "IP" versoin and "Developer" version. Can you share the various pricing for the various licenses.

I design websites, upload them to a shared webhost (lfchosting.com) and resell their webspace to clients with each client website having its own domain name, e.g., (www.client1.com, www.client2.com, etc.). These domains are under my account domain www.mymaindomainaccountname.com). All have the same IP address.

Scenario #1: I have a Windows2000 server on which I do some development work and a laptop that I take with me to sometimes do development work when away from the office.

Question: Can I use the IP address version on both my Win2000 server and laptop if I physically do development on only one computer at a time?

Yes.

You can use the software on any machine via http://localhost/ for development purposes. However if the web server is accessed using another hostname (i.e. it is a shared server) then you need to buy a copy for it. This means each of your development servers and test servers must have its own license.
