Optimize Performance

We are having some users that are getting sluggisg response. What setting can I change to get optimal performance. I need to make it as fast as possible. We sometimes have 50+ users in the room at a time.

It's strange....

50 person is nothing for cutechat...

1. Login as Chat admin.

2. Choose the configuration tab

3. In the performance section.

Performance

In most cases, the following values don't need to be changed.

Average execution time		The number of milliseconds that it took to execute the most recent request. Defalult: 20ms. How to change its value? In most cases, its value doesn't need to be changed. Cute Chat can support an average of 1,000 concurrent users on a single-Processor Intel P4 2.4G Application Server. If your chat keeps growing and growing and your server is too busy to handle the request, you should increase the value. If your chat doesn't have a lot of chatters and you have a more powerful server, you can lower the value.
Cute Chat data update frequency		Defalult: 600ms
Cute Chat Max data update frequency		Defalult: 3000ms
Cute Chat Min data update frequency		Defalult: 300ms
Messenger data update frequency		Defalult: 1000ms
Messenger Max data update frequency		Defalult: 5000ms
Messenger Min data update frequency		Defalult: 500ms

Change the Average execution time to 30ms

We are having the same problem here !

Also why can't I see the performance section in my Configuration Tab ?

The only sections I can see are...

1.General

2.Global Access Control

3.Urls

Our system is...

Component	Type
Operating System	Windows 2000 Server
Framework	Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0
Database	SQL Server 2000

The licence we bought is...

Domain License

The above solution works for 2.0.

For version 3.x, please follow the steps below:

1. Open Settings.js.aspx file

2. Find the following code:

var Chat_Sync_Timeout=1000;

3. Change it to 2000
