I was wondering if it is possible to modify the "Links" dropdown.  I thought it would work like me selecting some text and then dropping the links down and selecting a link from there and it preserving my text that was highlighted as the link text and inserting the href http address of the link I selected, however it inserts the page name and replaces my text that was highlighted.  If I had no text highlighted, this would be great, however I would like to be able to make links with text other than the page name.  Yes, I know, I could edit the HTML, but this is not a good solution for my users.

 

I'm using dotnetnuke and making links in there.  Let me know if this makes sense.

I am trying to extract this exact same behavior with 5.1.  When was this behavior implemented?  Is it only on the link tree dropdown or also the link drop down?

This feature is implemented in July, 2005.
