Hi Gentlemen,

How can I create relative path for hyperlink like <a href="join.asp">? I tried like this:

<CE:Editor id="Editor1" runat="server" RemoveServerNamesFromUrl="true" UseRelativeLinks="true"></CE Editor>

But when I swtiched from "Normal" tab to "Html" I found the hyperlink was changed to <a href=http://localohost/join.asp>.

Any solution? Thanks!

When you switch the HTML View, Internet Explorer converts all URLs in hyperlinks (anchor tags) and images (img tags) to absolute URLs with the hostname name.

When Editor.RemoveServerNamesFromUrl Property is set to true (the default), CuteEditor strips out the local server name from all A and IMG tags if the hostname in the URL matches the current hostname.

Thanks Adam. But it doesn't work --- I've already set RemoveServerNamesFromUrl="true" but I still get

While it should be

<a href="join.aspx/"></a>

Seems the CuteEditor did not strip anything out. Any idea? As I descibed my CuteEditor configuration is quite simple, it's just

<CE:Editor id="Editor1" runat="server" RemoveServerNamesFromUrl="true" UseRelativeLinks="true"></CE Editor>

Hi All,

Maybe I did not understand what is happening well before. Now I know what it is.

When I save the text to database, it saves the correct one (<a href=join.asp></a>). And if I view source of the current webpage, I can see the correct one (<a href=join.asp></a>) in the codes.

So when it displays in CuteEditor like (<a href=http://localhost/...>), it is only a display problem caused by IE and I just ignore it.

Adam,

Is there any way that we can configure the editor so that is the user enters a realtive link in the content it stays a relative link and if the user enters and absolute link it stays an absolute link. Right now it seems to be an either/or situation which is not conducive to all application with the DNN portal.

There is an IE bug. When you switch the HTML View, Internet Explorer converts all URLs in hyperlinks (anchor tags) and images (img tags) to absolute URLs with the hostname name.

We did find a hack solution to this issue. Please wait for the new version.
