I have a client using a MAC who is receiving this message whenever he is attempting to upload his documents:

 

"Unable to select so many files at once. The total file name length cannot exceed 32kb"

 

I have the max number of files set to 15 but it appears that he is only uploading 4 or 5 files.  The names of each of his files do not appear to be of any issue and when I attempt to upload these files from my machine I am able to do so with no issue.  Is there something with the MAC that may be causing this error to occur?  

When selecting multiple files, the total character limit for the file names depends on the windows API or Mac API.

• ANSI: 32k limit
• Unicode: no restriction

I'm having the same issue.  It seems with Mac clients using either Safari or Firefox they get this error.  Works fine on Windows (IE and FF).  It doesn't matter how many files they try to upload - 1, 10, or 100.   I've looked at both threads that you provided and still not sure what the solution or workaround is.  I've upgraded to the latest version of AjaxUploader.  I'm using the MagicAjax C#, essentially the same code as the example provided.

 

Any solution to this would be appreciated!
