when iopen the page having the ediotor in firefox the editor space where typng can be done appears only that of a single line whereas in IE it appears normal as per the height set

Please put cuteeditor in one separate page, and then tested it in firefox and ie, check whether you can reproduce this issue.  It maybe has something to do with your website style.  You can send your cuteeditor access url to eric@cutesoft.net, I will check it.

so something to do with my exixting page

culd u give me any guidleines as to wht culd effect the typing space in firefox

Please check whether you set property EditorBodyStyle or EditorWysiwygModeCss, you can use firebug to detect your editor body style.
