We are using cutesoft editor 5 (right clicking on the CuteEditor.dll and clicking on properties shows the version as 5.1.0.0)

 

I have added office 2007 extensions (.docx and xlsx in particular) to the config file (default.config) as noted by the following page:

 

 

This is fine and we are able to attach the files without issue.

 

However when we go to click the link generated on by the editor, it somehow shows the extension of the file as .zip.

 

Clicking on open attempts to open the attachment as a zip file.

 

When we click on save and manually change the extension to the correct one (either docx or xlsx) it loads fine on word and excel so it seems the file itself is saved fine.  It just "converts" it to a zip (seemingly just an extension change) for some reason.

 

Is there a way to fix this so that clicking on open would just open the file in the correct format?

I tested this issue in latest version several times, and cannot reproduce it.  Can you test it more? If you can reproduce it again, please supply your site url to us, we will investigate it.

Which is why I noted that we have version 5 - we don't have the latest version of the cutesoft editor.

 

We have this on a relatively old site and at the moment there are no plans to update it.

 

Could you confirm if this is an issue on version 5?
