Hi,

Just after clicking SignIn button a messagebox appears: "SignIn failed: Check CuteChat Messenger License failed: File or assembly name 'CuteSoft.Chat, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=Neutral, PublicKeyToken=da0fc3a24b6f18ba, or one of its dependencies, was not found".

Cute Chat and Web Messenger standalone 2.0

Any idea?

Unfortunately, still the same problem, even on another computer.

That's how I set it up:

1. Created folder SamplePortal in wwwroot and application SamplePortal in IIS manager.
2. Copied Web/*.* to SamplePortal/.
3. Created MSSQL DB SamplePortal.
4. Run cutechat2.sql, 1_CreateTables.sql, 2_CreateDefaultData.sql
5. Changed web.config's ConnectionString and CuteChat.SqlClient.ConnectionString.

It all works - I created a chat room. But 1)I cannot start messenger because of the error, described above, and 2)I cannot get to chat room because of error:

Server Error in '/SamplePortal' Application.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The resource cannot be found.

Exactly the same, as earlier. Just for fun I deleted *.lic files and got the same result. Could it be a bug in MS license generator?

Yes. Unfortunately the same messagebox appears.

Make sure you can run it successfully on your localhost first.

On test server I get some problems with Javascript, but further everything goes to license problem as well. I'm almost sure that  your license files are invalid or/and erroneously generated. Could you please check their generation process?

Bytheway, in fact you don't need to use lic files for demo. Making the demo work on localhost only is enough.

Do you mean, that /Web should be a subdir under virtual directory?

But why I get exactly the same error after deleting *.lic files?

Is that as it should be?

BTW, SignIn is the word written by a human. Is it so difficult to find the point in the code?
