Cut and Paste on Firefox 3.5 cuts off part of Word doc

Hi all,

We have a problem when our users try to cut and paste a whole word document into the cuteeditor using Firefox 3.5 it cuts off part of the document.

Currenlty we are using version 6.3, I have also tried this on my dev machine in version 6.4 and got the same result. Moreover, I have tried doing this on the sample page of this site and it also does the same thing.

I have a sample word file if needed (it does not let me attach it with this post).

Please help.

Oleg,

I have tested your document (I use office2003+patch to open your word document), and can't reproduce your issue.

Can you test our beta version again ?

I have tried this on the url you've provided and still the same result.

Please try it with MsOffice 2007 SP1 and Firefox 3.5.3

Hi, we can't reproduce your error on Office 2003

We need test it in Office2007 and get back to you ASAP.

Oleg,

We cannot preduce this issue.

1. Does it happen to all word document or one particular word document?

2. Does it happen to all browsers or just firefox?

I have emailed you a sample document which has this problem (so it only happens to some documents). As I have mentioned before it only happens on FF3.5. If you need me to resend the sample doc file I will be more than glad to do so.

I am sorry, I think I’ve figured out where the miscommunication is.

If you open the document in MSWord2007 and try to use CuteEditor in Firefox 3.5. Instead of doing Ctrl+V, do a right click and click paste. A popup will come up that will let you paste the text into it, then you click insert and that’s where the cutoff is happening.
