    Hi,
     
    Can anyone let me know about Google Map appear in User Tab of Conversations panel?
     
    The map doesn't appear for every users. I tested with my own PC but there is no map.
     
    I have asked my friend to use her home connection and request chat as a user.
     
    In client, the map appear in user tab window. 
     
    If I hover on the map, it will expand.
    If click on the map, it goes to Google Maps web page.
     
    Does anyone experience this? I wonder why there is map for some users and isn't for other users.
     
    It is covering some part of conversation and the operator cannot close the map. There is no close (X) button.
     
    I have attached the screenshot of Map.
     
    Please give me some explanation on this.

    Cute Live Supports will show google map when it is able to get the location of the user.
     
    If you test it on localhost, you are using a local IP. So google map will not show.

    Thanks for the reply. 
     
    So, if the client console & the users are using the same IP address, it will not show the location/Map. Right?
     
    Let's say if we want to close or hide the map from the view. Will it be possible? The operators using support now said it has covered their conversations.

    As long as the user has a public IP address,  Cute Live Supports will show google map when it is able to get the location of the user.
     
    Please open LiveSupport.exe.config and set <add key="GoogleMapKey" value="" />. It will hide google map.

    We disable Google Map Feature as instructed in forum as follows:

    Hide Google Map in UsersTab/Conversations Panel

     As long as the user has a public IP address,  Cute Live Supports will show google map when it is able to get the location of the user.

    Please open LiveSupport.exe.config and set <add key="GoogleMapKey" value="" />. It will hide google map.

     
    But somehow the map is still displaying when the user is outside Singapore(which is our location).
     
    There are different IP within Singapore (Map didnt display )

    We found out from one of our user who request chat from U.S.  Any idea on this?

    Kindly advise.

    It's very strange.
     
    If you modify LiveSupport.exe.config and add google map entry, this feature will be disabled totally.

    Since we have more than 5 operators  handling live support, each operator will need to manually add google map key in .exe.config file on their PCs. Right?
     
    Let's say in the future if we have more operators using the client console.
     
    Is there a way that we automatically add this key before. So after installation, the operators don't need to manually set key in exe.config file?

    If this operator wants to show the google map feature, you don't need to modify the LiveSupport.exe.config. You only need to modify LiveSupport.exe.config of the operator machine for the operators who don't want to show map.

    Hi Adam,
     
    Yes, we also like this feature as it shows the location of the user. But the issue is that the map is covering their chat conversation there is no button to close or minimize according to them.
     
    Is it possible  to improve this?
