    With the stand alone installation it is possible to open the messenger as a new window - i.e. in dialog mode as per the demo.
     
    I can't figure out how to do this under the community server 2008 installation.  Is there as a way to configure the Chat_OpenMessenger function to open in a new window?

    You can just open a new browser window for a custom page , in which you show the Messenger for the users.
