Media Insertion does not include param tags

We recently upgraded from CuteEditor 6.1 to 6.3. After the upgrade, we have the following issue with media insertion:

Usually, when inserting a media file (like wmv) the html code looks like this:

However, when inserting this file, the param tags (highlighted in red) are not written and hence the resulting html looks like this:

The end result is that while the video plays fine in the editor window, it does not play when the html is rendered on the page. I have tried complete reinstall, and also tried wmv files with no spaces...

John Schearer,

Did you get IE prompt to run the Media Player Extension while testing it?

We can reproduce this error when ignoring the prompt bar.

Please run it and test again.

No, we don't get the IE prompt. Noteworthy is the fact that the video runs fine when the page is called in firefox. Also noteworthy is the fact this behavior only started when we switched from ver 6.1 to 6.3. Video inserted using ver 6.1 puts the param tags in and the videos play with no issues in IE.

I am having the same issue. It runs fine in IE 7 the first time even with the param tags stripped. But the problem for us is when editing that page, we need those tags in there. Is there a fix for this?

I pasted your code in the html view, change to edit view, then back to html view.

It works fine.

Can you try this example?
