On my website, there is a page that has 3 editors on it. When attempting to copy text from another window (text is contained in another editor control), it works perfectly on the first paste. However, when selecting new text from the new window and then attempting to paste into the next editor control, it locks up the page completely. Most of the time, I cannot even select the default text in the control that will need to be replaced.

 

I was able to duplicate this behavior on http://cutesoft.net/asp/multiple.asp on the third paste attempt. The first paste went into the top editor (the first color tag remained though this is a separate issue). The second paste with new text went into the bottom editor (again, the font color tag remained). Then, when attempting to paste into the top control again, it locked up.

 

Any help?

Any ideas on this? I'm still having this problem, and I don't want to remove this tool from my site, but I will have no choice if this issue cannot be resolved.

steps:

 

1. link to http://cutesoft.net/asp/multiple.asp

 

2. copy some text

 

3. Paste it into the first editor

 

4. Paste it into the second editor

 

5. Paste it into the first editor again

 

 

6. works find

 

 

Please show me the steps can reproduce this issue

I can still reproduce the issue by doing the following:

 

1. Open 2 browsers with http://cutesoft.net/asp/multiple.asp

 

2. From the first window, select the first texteditor's value and paste it into the second window's first texteditor.

 

3. From the first window, select the second texteditor's value and paste it into the second window's second texteditor.

 

4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 until one of the windows locks up.

 

Please note that I could not reproduce this issue in FireFox. Only Internet Explorer (versions 7 and 8).
