Issue with Groupbox

Hi,

I currently am experiencing difficulties with pasting text into the groupbox created by Cute Editor. However, this problem only persists when I paste text using a keyboard shortcut ( control + v). If I paste text into the groupbox using 'paste' from the context menu or from the different 'paste' buttons on the toolbar the content is entered correctly and without a problem. Using a keyboard shortcut, though, causes the editor to clear itself and be unresponsive. On IE7, a javascript error occurs afterwards. I replicated this problem on http://cutesoft.net/example/general.aspx

Let me know if more information is required.

Adam,

Thanks for your timely responses! I went ahead and tried it out. Unfortunately, I still get the same error with IE7. But, I also tested with Google's Chrome browser and it worked. So I'm not sure if it's something with how IE7 is handling it or not, just thought I'd let you know.

When you say "GroupBox", do you mean "TextArea"?

Adam,

Nope, I mean groupbox. I'm using the "Insert Groupbox" button on the tool bar that looks like a box with xyz on top.

Adam,

I still end up with the same issue. But! I found something else.

I should have tested pasting text into the title box (with the groupbox text can be entered into the title space and then the main area, just to reiterate for myself). Why? Well when I paste text into the main area I get the same error, but when I paste text into the title box it does paste it, but when it does it appends "vtemp_span" at the end of it.

Now, if I paste text into the main area after pasting something into the title area, it does paste the text but the formatting is off. Let me know if that doesn't make sense. Thanks.

Adam,

1) When I paste directly to the main area of the groupbox, I still get the same issue with the editor clearing up and freezing.

2) When I paste into the title area of the group box, it works fine and doesn't append 'temp_span' but appends 'v' instead.

3) After pasting into the title area and then pasting into the main area of the group box, the text is pasted but it moves up to the title area with 'temp span' appended to the content.

Me again. Still have an issue with pasting text into GroupBox. Also, I found the same error with the Layer element created by the 'Insert Layer' button. Again, pasting text with the keyboard shortcut (control + v) clears the editor and displays a javascript error. The page needs to be refreshed for the editor to function.

This is important because we are enabling most, if not all, of Cute Editor's functionality to our clients and a lot of them don't know about context menus so they can't be bothered to be told to right click and select paste or to use the paste button instead of using a keyboard shortcut.

Great idea with the video! Never thought of doing that. Also, I tried it your way and it does work that way BUT it doesn't work if they copy text below the element or from another source (Word, Notepad, etc).

please:

1. Can you try this on another pc?

2. set the security setting of Internet option to default and try again.
