Resolution:
1. Deleted license file from website
2. Deleted license file from localhost (VS development file)
3. Copied license file from Cute e-mail into localhost (VS development file)
4. Copied license file into web BIN folder
Support Stats:

3. Availability of chat support: 0
3. Responses to forum post: 0
4. Site down: 2 1/2 hours
Conjectures:
Simply overwriting the trial license with the production license may have caused the problem. Deleting it entirely then loading a new file seems to have resolved the problem.
Additional info regarding Cute support:
When I purchased the license I noted that some of the domain names I provided had the leading http:// and some were simply www.~~~. I wrote
-karen@cutesoft.net and asked whether this was an issue but never received a response.
