We have a redistribution license and have downloaded the lastest codebase of 4.0.0.4. Our compiled code works on our localhost and our development server but not our production server. We are using it for an internal site.

When accessing the site on the production server, the page with the control loads. However, the control itself does not load fully. When moving the mouse cursor over the control, we get an hour glass. We've experienced difficulties on this server with InterOps; does CuteEditor use InterOps? I'm just looking for some commonality between past issues and the current one.

The source files are a page on which the issue displays and supporting config files and classes. Note that the web.config file is not included as it contains sensitive information.

Jeff,

The following situation happened to other developers before:

When you are using the Visual Studio IDE to include the " CuteEditor" folder into your Visual Studio project, it prompts you to create a code-behind file for the *.aspx.

If you select "Yes", the a new code-behind files will be created by the Visual Studio IDE.

For example: your CuteEditor.htc._js.aspx file will be changed to:

<%@ Page Language="vb" ContentType="text/javascript" Inherits="ProvBET.CuteEditor_htc__js" CodeBehind="CuteEditor.htc._js.aspx.vb" AutoEventWireup="false" %>
Line 2: //ContentType="text/javascript"
Line 3:

But the new code-behind files are empty.

Can you check your project?

Steps to fix this problem:

1. Delete all the files in CuteEditor fodler.

2. Copy "CuteEditor" folder into your Visual Studio project again, when prompts you to create a code-behind file for the *.aspx, please select "NO" .

I'm experiencing a similar problem with the evaluation version. When I have two boxes on the same page the first one fails to load completely. I checked the client files and they have not been assigned code-behind files.

Adam,

No codebehind files exist. When first adding the files I did get the prompt and did respond with a 'no.' I have just confirmed that they do not exist on any of the machines to which the app is deployed.

Yes, I also have the problem with that demo page. The second box does not finish loading. It seems ok in FireFox but not in IE 6.0.2900:

We're building a server to replicate the one in production. I've always thought it was the OS and not the component, but I figured to purpose both avenues.

Does you code use any InterOps within it?

Adam,

What is the theme for the second editor on the demo page. Is it Office2003? That is the theme we are using as well. Could there be something with that theme and IE 6.0 that isn't meshing?

In the multiple example:

First editor: ThemeType="Office2003_BlueTheme"
Second editor: ThemeType="Office2003"
Third editor: ThemeType="OfficeXP"
Fourth editor: ThemeType="Office2000"

This issue has been resolved in the latest version 4.0.0.5.
