Insert Hyperlink Dialog issue

Adam,

One of our clients where I have used Cutesoft for their CMS is having an issue with the Insert Hyperlink dialog. The screen gets cut off. No matter what I tried in our dev. env. (including changing the screen configuration) I could not reproduct this problem. The client has a screen configuration of highest resolution 32 bit -- 1440 X 900 pixels. Apparently other users are also seeing the same issue internally.

Any help with this will be appreciated.

Also, is there a way in which I can upload the screen shot to this message so you can see what I am saying...

You can use the insert image dialog upload the screenshot.

Which version of Cute Editor are you using?

Can you let your client try the following example?

Do you have "Large Fonts" option set for Windows? It would be on the Appearances tab of Display Options.

The client says his Windows setting is "Normal".

Superman,

Can you check the DPI setting of his machine?

Does he have problems with other tag dialog?

For example, image tag dialog, the table dialog, div dialog, td dialog...

Adam,

Thanks for all your help. Your question on DPI resolved this issue. The customer had his display setting set to "Large Size 120 DPI". With that all the dialog boxes that you had mentioned were seen cut off.

When I had him change the display setting to "Normal Size - 96 DPI", everything worked fine.

Now my special request to you and your development team is this: Many of our clients and their intended audience are senior citizens where their display settings are set to larger font sizes. Please modify all your dialog boxes so they are resizable. With this change, a lot many questions with dialog box issues will go away both for you and your customers.

All dialog settings are stored in CuteSoft_Client\CuteEditor\Scripts\Constant.js.

You can modify it easily.

editorconstant._linkDialogFeature = "help:0;status:0;resizable:1;dialogWidth:460px;dialogHeight:214px;";

When I made similar edits to the Image and Achor dialogs, I was able to resize them.
