    New Install -- Issues

    Greetings,

I installed Chat and Web Messenger on my site last evening and I'm running into a challenge where some of my users can't access the Chat module at the Forum level.  They do not see the Chat column in order to access that lobby.  I can see all of the lobbies from the forum list, and one of the users who cannot see the column is an admin as well.

    Next:
This is more of a question than an issue...is there a way without writing custom code) to default all forum members to display on all contact lists from the Web Messenger?

    Thanks!
    -Rich

So do I, and I'm wondering the same thing: is our money no good for CuteSoft?

    Rich,

Are you sure they access the same URL or same community?

If you open the View-ForumGroupView.ascx,  you will find out the chat colomn has been written in the page. As long as they have access to the forum, they can see the chat images.

    Re: New Install -- Issues

    Hi Adam,

I have a single community at one URL.  My fellow admin, when I login under her account or when seeing it from her PC, cannot see the chat icon, nor can she see the 'Chat Admin' link whereas, I see everything fine.  My basic 'Registered Users' see the chat icon with no issues either.  I'm beginning to wonder if her account is corrupt somehow, which I know your staff doesn't' support but I'll look into that on my end.

My second question was...is there a way all registered users can be added to each others contacts in the Web Messenger rather than having them do a manual 'Add Contact' for all users?  Can I do a trigger for this in SQL or is there something out of the box I can configure to make this happen?

    Thanks!

    Re: New Install -- Issues

Thank you Adam, I am not sure why the 2007 didn't click for me.  I guess my brain was looking for 3.1

    Thank you very much.
