We recently purchased the source code and are trying to integrate version 4 from a basic compile of the solution you sent us.

We originally had the trial for version3 which has worked fine. On upgrading to the new version it has all gone wrong.

I have used the modified licence file, created the new directory for all the files and removed the old one (/ContactWeb/CuteSoft_Client/CuteEditor/.. where ContactWeb is the app name), replaced the dll with the new one, refreshed references etc.

All the images are red crosses, the editor text box does not appear, and it just hangs with an hour glass?

I have also tried the trial download version, same thing. So I must have something set up wrong.

Any thoughts / ideas ?

Please check Editor.FilesPath Property setting.

Make sure it points to the right path in your projects.

Yes I think it is set correctly.

If i dont set it at all, it would use the default i presume, which does give me the problem.

If i set it as :

editor.FilesPath = "/ContactWeb/CuteSoft_Client/CuteEditor/", it is the same too. Still have the problem.

Further to that.

I fI right click on a red cross and get the path to the image, and then paste that into a browser address bar, the image displays properly.

Eg the img tag is as follows :

The link to the image file is ok.

Sorry I did not answer. The Url is not visible externally. I have been looking at this all afternoon and cannot see why this is happening.

I am using your default.aspx page too - same problem.

Treble checked references and paths

Removed an old cuteEditor.dll from GAC download cache

Removed all css files, checked images, .js files can be seen ok according to the paths in the page source (with and without the .aspx extensions)

ensured the http handlers are in the main web.cofing (tried it with them in both separately and together)

am baffled .....

Please download the version 4.0.0.3. This problem has been resolved in the lasest fix.

The version available for download is still 4.0.0.2 as of this morning (uk time).

Please let me know when the new version is up.

I am pretty sure the version version available for download is 4.0.0.3.

We've got feedbacks from the clients about this new version.

I have just downloaded it and tried again. Same problem.

The .ddl timestamp is 30/12/2004, so would not refelct the fix you made in the last few days for the session related problem we found on the support session last Friday. Right clicking on the ddl file and checing the version also states 4.0.0.2.

Nor am I. Did you get the version of the zip i sent to you, which i downlaoded about 15 minutes ago?

If you check that it is version 4.0.0.2 whereas yours above is 4.0.0.3.

Strange.

Can you email me the zip you have on your website for download. Perhaps i am getting a cached version of the zip from somewhere?

the download file is big, about 4M.

I've copied another copy to the server, CuteEditor_for_NET4.1.zip.

I have downloaded the new zip (4.1), and have the current file.

It is now the correct version!! So i guess i must have been getting a cached version of the zip from somewhere?

I now have images and everything!!!! - Thankyou ....

BUT.....

I now have a javascript error when the page loads with the editor in it, as follows :

Char: 3
Error: Access is denied
Code: 0

any ideas ...

Further to my last post.

I am using the editor within a page that uses the IE web controls tab strip, supplied by microsoft.

It only seems to happen when i change tabs within the control.

Any idea on what causes it would be helpful.

I have started to get the hanging with hour glass again today. Although it is intermittent, it seems to be cleared by clearing the cache/temp internet folders on my browser.

Is this due to the new cacheing feature again ?
