On some pages when I goto HTML view all the text is centred in the page. I have tracked it down to a  text-align: center; in the body tag of an external stylesheet. This stylesheet is included via the EditorWysiwygModeCss property.

You should change your css file, because the css is applied to the HTML of the iframe.

 

If you want text centered, add the "text-align:center;" attribute to div, and p.

I have been told by the user who did this that if he doesnt put this in the body then things dont render properly on IE5, which unfortunately a lot of our users of this system are locked into. I havnt checked this out yet, but we have had other issues with stylesheets and HTML view.

 

So back to the original question is there a way to stop the HTML view picking up on the stylesheet?

I dont ask these questions for no reason, the companies I work for have all paid for licences of the editor, and we all have a vested interest in seeing CuteEditor be the best....

I do not disagree with his answer, the problem I have is that this is not the first time the CSS has affected the HTML view. Previously someone had set foretext colour set to white in the CSS which made all the text in HTML invivisible.

 

What I am asking is if there is a way to make the HTML view ignore any CSS, or can I ask for a new feature where it does because users have a habit of changing CSS that alters the HTML view.

Open CuteSoft_Client\CuteEditor\Scripts\Constant.js and modify the following code:

 

editorconstant._editorSourceStyle = "background:#ffffff;margin:0;padding:0;color:black";

to

editorconstant._editorSourceStyle = "background:#ffffff;margin:0;padding:0;color:black;text-align:left;";

 

Ta very much that has done the trick.

 

Must remember that one, as I am sure I changed it before ref the white text.
