Asp.Net RequireFieldValidator and CE

It appears that the CE can´t be validated with a RequireFieldValidator.

Is that a limitation?

Ken,

CuteEditor can be validated with a RequireFieldValidator.

You can test it in our test forum. If you didn't input any info in the message field, you post will not be submited and received the following message in red color:

You must supply a message.

I have the same problem...you must disable client side script for validation before the validator will actually "validate" the control. In an up-level browser it would be nice if you didn't have to round-trip to the server for validation.

No, you don't need to disable client side script for validation.

Your example includes...EnableClientScript="False"...not True. Don't get me wrong validation does work as expected when configured as your example.

Yes, you are right. I miss that part . CE need to perform validation on the server.

Adam,

So to get this straight, there is no way to validate CE on client side? Cause I'm validating multiple webcontrols and if CE is blank and I fill it with text after the notification but blank an other webcontrol, the error message of CE remains, because the validator of the other webcontrols block everything!
