Create an H1 button

Hi,

I'm trying to create an H1 button, which exactly functions like the B, I and U button (but for the html h1).

What is the easist way to do this?

I can create a button already and put some script behind it, but it doesn't work like an B,I and U button.

Hi Adam,

I just want to format the selected text with H1, your example sets the complete paragraphe into H1.
Is there a way to do this? Just make H1 around the selected text?

Sjarl,

I know what you want.

However Headings are Block-level elements. <hX> elements aren't just about setting font size, color, they add structure to your content.

When you apply heading directly, the whole paragraph will become the heading of the page.
