    Conversion to Visual Studio 2005

Opening and converting the cutechat solution with Visual Studio 2005 fails.

I'd hate to go back to the older version of Visual Studio.

Should it be compatible? If not, will it be any time soon?

    Thanks again

Re: Conversion to Visual Studio 2005

Well, it doesn't give an error. Just says that many files weren't converted.

I've tried several times with same result. I can email you the upgradelog.xml?

You don't have newer solution files, so that a conversion isn't needed?

    Thanks

Re: Conversion to Visual Studio 2005

    Hi.

    If your error message is

ERROR: The following files were not migrated because they were not found in the project file or the associated 'BuildAction' is set to 'None'. You may need to exclude these files from the project after the conversion process in order to compile your web site: File List

And the all file is in the CuteSoft_Client , you just need to ignore that errors.

They are the files of CuteEditor and CuteChat , and it work well in asp.net2 without change/conversion .

Re: Conversion to Visual Studio 2005

Yeah, that kind of error message. I've tried removing the Editor files before converting and that worked. No errors and the project could open.

I do get a 50 or so errors from different pages. Especially SaveTemplate.Aspx.

Mostly syntax errors and so on. I'll see if I can correct them..

Re: Conversion to Visual Studio 2005

Do you have other problems ?

Maybe you need to move the file for Global.asax.cs in to App_Code , and maybe you need to delete old web dll too .
