• Re: problems storing html from/to db with cute editor

I've upgraded to 4.5 but I'm still seeing the same behavior. I didn't see Editor.EncodeHiddenValue in the property fields or in the design time editing.I do see this: UseHTMLEntities and it's set to True.

  • problems storing html from/to db with cute editor

I'm trying to store HTML text to/from a backing store with Cute Editor as my online editor. I'm having this issue where the data in the backing store is OK, and the data that gets stored in the editor seems Ok, but the output on screen is messed up. I've run into this before but have no idea what I did to resolve it. Here's the breakdown: ...

  • firefox and forums posting

I've noticed that when I use FF to post to the forums the text box is really slow. If I do a lot of typing FF will jump up to 5-10% of CPU time will I'm doing the typing. There's also sometimes a lag when I hit the spacebar or type really fast. Maybe it's a bug in FF, maybe with cute editor.

  • Re: nested tables becoming un-nested

I will next time I see it happening. I'm HTML Encoding the text and storing it in an XML file. Everything seems fine except ocassionaly table end tags will move around.

  • nested tables becoming un-nested

I have a page that I'm editing that's pretty large, containing 1 table with 12-15 rows and a lot of text images etc. I've noticed that if I put a nested table in a row of the table then I save my data and reload the page, the nested table will sometimes fall out of the containing table. I've noticed content falling out of ...

  • suggestion for "hold time"

When you're in the support room ''on hold'' as it were, it would be nice if the focus would pop forward when an operator enters the room. I was in chat waiting and an operator entered the room while I was doing something else. The op left and I never knew he was there!

  • start editor in preview mode

I've looked a bit on this and haven't found it. I'd like to be able to start a read-only editor in preview mode that has no top bar. Got 2 out of 3, but I can't figure out how to put the editor into preview mode via the API. I was thinking there would be a ''Mode'' property with an enumeration but...

  • Re: Many problems editing tables

I did some more investigation and I found that the issue was related to div tags. I think that changing the editor to put in <P> tags instead might help. I think the newsletter is too large to post here. I could email it to you.

  • Re: Bullet Points tough to work with...

CSS is the way to modify the spacing above and below bullets. He's right, this isn't really related to the editor.

  • Many problems editing tables

I've got a client that is putting together a newsletter that has about 800 words of text inside a table. I've helped her a bit with this and I've seen a ton of problems with table editing when switching views. Sometimes table rows will disappear. Sometimes text will appear above the table. Etc. Really makes the editor worthless, considering asking ...
