    Adam &nbsp; &nbsp; I tried the getText()&nbsp; method you provided but it is erroring out in a ''spell.js'' module. If you need the exact line, i'll give it to you. however i did add ''editor1.getSelection()'' figuring the focus of the focus of th eobject might have been off. Any suggestions?

    Adam &nbsp; &nbsp; thanks for the reply. I'm sure the work around works great. I guess the ExecCommand is the main javascript method? I have reviewed those other methods and again i do appreciate your response.

I am looking for a command that let's me get just the text in an editor. Is there a getTEXT() function much like the getHTML()? I do alot of programming with the XMLHTTPRequestObject and would ...
