AndyP,   The table border or div border can be changed using the table dialog and div dialog.   If you want to change the runtime style, it's impossible unless you own a source code license.

praveen:  That's a good idea . We need to move some script code to a splited file , for example , move to : 'const.js'  in the 'const.js' , the js code should be : var default_table_border='1'var default_table_width='100%' and so on .  Regards , Terry .

Thanks Adam, but my requirement is to set the table border color to black and width to 100% by default when ever users add a new table. If there is any way to acheive this programatically, that would be great.

Hi Adam, when the background of the page is black the table borders is invisibles. Is possible to set the Table borders color? Also for a future version. Thank's marc.  

No problems. All the buttons in the editor are effected by table css. From the first picture you show me it seems like you made some custom table height. It is also effected by alignment, z-index, margin, padding, float and position etc.
