    Adam, thank you for your fast help! I found out what the problem is und could reproduce it: In my code, I start cuteeditor with a start text like ''Type here...''. When a user deletes this whole text and starts to type, then cuteeditor adds the <p> tag.   Can this be solved that the <p> tag does not appear?   Joerg
