Re: Toggle editor with Javascript
Ok that works great, but I assumed that would decrease the download time of the page. I have several editors on the page and the page is creating every single one of them every time the page loads, which is taking about 20 seconds (way too long). I am launching them via
javascript
. Is there a setting on the editor to load it on ...

Re: No More JavaScript API in 6.0??
i've been using a popup window to populate my content in the textarea of the Editor. So you can use the <%=editor.ClientID%>, but it doesn't help you if you're trying to access the CuteEditor from another page (or popup window). So you can still use the
javascript
API, but instead of using : var editor1 = ...

Re: Problems with Javascript API
Hi, Yes. After some experimenting, it turns out that you place a ''CE_'' and ''_ID'' around my actual id. Therefore when I looked for ''CE_ceEditor_ID'', it was able to find the object. Now I see what you are pushing using the _ClientID from the server side. Also, just an FYI, your
Javascript
API document specifies ...

javascript
(setting the <div style='display:none'> ) The page must validate on the client side (even when the Editor is hidden) . But the line ''editor.GetDocument()'' fails if the editor is hidden. Any workaround ?Here's a stripped down version of the page. (It ...

Firefox problem: content of editor lost between Javascript/PasteHTML and ASP.NET?
The following basic
Javascript
logic (called by a button-click event added as an Attribute to a button on our ASP.NET form) works fine in IE, but not in Firefox (note: I needed to write a separate
Javascript
function to handle Firefox because 'selectedhtml' needed to be derived differently than in IE, per a response to an earlier post ...
