FYI, I created a site from your Framework 2.0 folder, this seems to work when browsing to the 'vb' folder. 

To go on with the integration, I excluded  the general.aspx page from the project. Now I get new compilation error with the global.asax file.   Error 3 Validation (ASP.Net): Attribute 'Implements' is not a valid attribute of element Application'.
