Adam,The EnableStripScriptTags is indeed set, however, I was calling setHTML in HTML view.  doing it in Normal view solves the problem -thanks.

Even if I use:   <script language=javascript>window.open('<%=CuteSoft.Chat.ChatWebUtility.ResolveResource(Context,''IM_MainForm.Aspx'')%>','','status=1,width=340,height=500,resizable=1')</script>   Its the same error. If I call the messenger from the normal default.aspx, I am able to open it.   thanks.

My mistake, the example that uses javascript to get the contents of the window works on safari. http://cutesoft.net/example/javascript-api.aspx I am currently trying to craft a solution that uses this technology, which is proving decidedly difficult at the moment. A solution to the previous problem would still be useful.
