I'm having this same problem.  I removed document.domain = [My Domain] from my page and it worked.  However, that line of code is required by another third party tool that I'm using.  Is there any other way around this ''Access is denied'' javascript error?

Yes bcweed that is exactly correct.   Currently as a work around I am using a setTimeOut call in javascript the first time I show the editor.   But that is just a work around and would like to have a better fix, although it does work.   Adam
