Yes. By default Cute Editor automatically strips all script elements and script contents from the html to prevent javaScript injection. You can turn this feature off by setting Editor.EnableStripScriptTags property to false.

I am trying to add javascript alert to force users when they exceed 500 characters. Any thoughts on how to accomplish this? If control will not allow additional text, then its lot better instead of throwing alert but I didnt see anyway to do that using properties.   Thanks for help!

Which version of CuteEditor are you using?   Do you have problems with the examples included in the demo package?   If not, can you create a simple aspx which can demonstrate the problem?
