Yes, I am able to reproduce the issue with one of your examples. I installed the simple-upload.aspx page on my web server and received the same error when uploading a file that was 5.6 MB

there was no web.config file. And when i put my editor by it self in a simple aspx file with all the default settings i get the same error message.  I am running asp.net 1.1  is this compatible with that?  ''An invalid character was fount in the text content''

I have tested http://ajaxuploader.com/demo/select-multiple-files-upload.aspx in ie7, I can upload files and it works. What's your test result?
