I follow the following steps and cannot reproduce this issue:
2. Switch to "HTML" and remove all content
3. Switch back to "Normal"
4. Input "test" in edit area
5. Click button "Font color" and "Hightlight" to set its format
6. Click button "Left Justify"
Those format will not be lost.
