Please add the following line at the top of your asp file:

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">

This will resolve your issue. If your DOCTYPE is null, browser will work on quirks mode, this leads to your issue. You can refer to http://hsivonen.iki.fi/doctype/
