I know this post is 4 years old but I'm having the same issue - can't embed video stored in database. You can change the html afterwards (the source tags) but this not ideal as non-technical users will struggle and break this.

 

Also can't seem to get a mov to embed on a page - it puts it in a windows media player wrapper.

 

Has this been resolved? Is there a workaround?
